㈠ 10 个月读完 300 万字英文原著，给你分享 4 点经验
自从年初定下阅读英文原著的目标之后，10 个月过去了，到目前为止成绩如下：
粗略统计约 300 万单词的阅读量，其中《冰与火之歌》就占了大半壁江山。带来的效果是：
300天，平均每天 1 万单词的阅读量，在高强度的创业和雅思备考过程中实现，可能吗？
说so easy 是骗人的，但是也没有想象中的那么难。这么几点经验也许对大家有参考价值：
没有单词量硬读原著是痛苦的。虽然很多人提倡阅读过程不要频繁查字典，避免打断阅读的流畅性。但是平均每行两三个单词不认识， 读得似懂非懂的，何来流畅性可言？ 阅读的快乐也大打折扣，自然很难长久坚持下去。
所以，必须要有基础的单词量。到底多少算够呢？我觉得 5000 ~ 6000 是一个基本标准。没达到怎么吧？要不老老实会背完四六级单词，要不先从基础的读物开始，比如《床头灯》系列，或者《牛津书虫》系列。
但是五六千单词只是基础，读任何一本原著都会有很多专有的生词，而且会反复出现。比如《冰与火之歌》就有很多战争相关的词，《怦然心动》有很多心理描述的词。不搞定这些词，被它们反复折磨也是一种痛苦。
所以读原著的过程中，还要不断地扩充针对这本书的单词库。不要单纯地查字典，而要用 查 + 背 相结合的工具，比如扇贝、百词斩等。这些软件都有生词库功能，查完一个单词如果觉得重要，可以加入生词库。 利用软件自带的艾宾浩斯记忆曲线设置，每天循环背诵。 一段时间之后，当你搞定一两百个甚至几十个这本书的高频生词之后，你就感觉阅读流畅度大大加强！
好的工具不仅可以提高你的阅读效率，还能让阅读成为一种享受。
最基本的工具当然是扇贝、百词斩之类的单词工具。一般我会使用电脑版的，读书的时候打开电脑随时备查，比手机效率高很多。
不过更高效的方法是直接读电子书，微信读书、多看阅读都是优秀的电子书 App，它们都内置英语词典，哪个单词不认识，长按即可查询，大大降低对阅读的打断。重要的单词再单独加到单词 App。
不过，终极的英文原著阅读神器还是非 Kindle 莫属了。Kindle 的各种优点我就不多介绍了，相信大家都了解。只提一点，那就是Kindle 商店里很多英文书都支持『生词提示』功能。完美的排版，让生词不再成为阅读的障碍，体验接近中文阅读的流畅感！
更厉害的是， 你可以根据自己的单词量调节生词显示比例 。比例越小，提示的生词就越少。循序渐进，不知不觉之间，单词量就上了一个台阶！
不要为了『学英语』而读原著，这样你会毁了阅读本来的乐趣。
首先，选择自己真正感兴趣的、真正想读的书。 比如，我之所以能啃下厚厚的 5 本冰与火之歌，是因为我是个超级冰火迷。美剧一年只更新一季，漫长的等待过程中，看原著是最好的解渴方式。不仅能提前了解剧情，而且还能收获剧中没有的动人细节。
其次，给自己一个无法逃避的目标或压力。 比如，我和很多人一样，无数次在新年的时候立志学英语，无数次在一个月以内放弃。今年我为了坚定决心，果断报了雅思。两千块钱的报考费是最好的动力。备考过程中，其他三科都挺枯燥乏味的，唯有阅读能够带来乐趣，所以读原著成了我最愿意做的事。
最后，偶尔读一些平时不会读的通俗读物作为奖励。 比如《暮光之城》，说实话就是美国的校园言情小说。这类书的中文版我是绝对不会读的，但是有学英语作为理由，我就可以光明正大地读英文版。而这类读物确实让人轻松快乐，读这种书的时候，你会忘了自己在学英语，只是简单地找回读书的乐趣。
读英文原著是一件长期的事，切忌三分钟热情。要给自己定一个合理的时间安排表。
比如我个人是这样安排的，每天睡觉之前，定期花 20 ~ 30 分钟读书，读个几千字没问题。
每周末比抽一个下午，去咖啡馆读英文书。这个下午是专用时间，只做这一件事，没有干扰的情况下读个几万字基本没问题。这样下来，平均每天 1 万字的阅读量，并没有那么难。不知不觉中，就啃下来一本本英文原著。
给大家分享的四点经验大概就是这些。最后，不要把读原著看成一件多么遥不可及的事情。想想你小时候读书，那会儿你并不觉得读书是为了学中文，只是单纯地享受读书的乐趣。但是在长年累月的积累中，阅读成了你学习语言最好的方式。
